The material PP-H 100 AlphaPlus

- Service temperature range from -15 °C to +100 °C, depending on the application
- Low specific weight
- Physiologically safe
- No water absorption or swelling
- Excellent electrical insulation properties
- High abrasion resistance
- Excellent electrical insulation properties
- Permanently watertight and longitudinally strong connection through welding

The new SIMONA® PP-H 100 AlphaPlus is a homopolymeric polypropylene with a an outstanding range of features for use in industrial pipeline construction. The various types of polypropylene used to date have a number of material-related strengths and weaknesses.

SIMONA® PP AlphaPlus is an all-in-one combination of the key benefits provided by these conventional materials:
- Continuous service capability at temperatures from 0 °C to +100 °C; depending on the application, service capability down to -15 °C
- Increased impact strength with enhanced rigidity
- Reduced internal stresses and strains due to an even finer and more homogeneous microstructure
- Stable crystallite structure
- Reduced frictional loss due  to a much smoother surface
- Enhanced chemical resistance
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Very favourable hydraulic properties due to extremely low wall roughness
- Substantially increased stress crack resistance

The material PP-R 80

- Service temperature range from -15 °C to +100 °C, depending on the application
- Low specific weight
- Physiologically safe
- No water absorption or swelling
- Excellent electrical insulation properties
- High abrasion resistance
- Excellent electrical insulation properties
- Permanently watertight and longitudinally strong connection through welding

PP-R 80 is a random-copolymer polypropylene in which  individual ethylene monomers are integrated into the polypropylene chain.  PP-R is more flexible than homopolymeric PP, and at normal service temperatures it is tougher than PP-H. At high temperatures it displays less  rigidity. Owing to its advantageous material properties, PP-R is used particularly for injection-moulding of large-size fittings. On request, we can also supply pipes made of PP-R.
